Course Information
Are you already using Chat GPT and want to use this novel tool more effectively and intentionally? Whether you’re a seasoned ChatGPT user with excellent “prompt-fu” or simply curious about the potential of AI-assisted writing, this short video course is for you! Structured around Kleiman’s (2022) 4 roles for AI in student writing (editor, co-author, ghostwriter, and muse), this course is an overview of both the productive power and pitfalls of AI-assisted writing. No discussion of generative AI would be complete without reflection on academic integrity and plagiarism, so we’ll also reflect on how AI-assisted writing might fit into our academic lives. Chat GPT is here, and it’s not going away any time soon, so we’re all learning to live with it. The Writing Center hopes to encourage student writers, like you, to use Chat GPT productively, intentionally, and in line with KDI School’s guidelines.
